At what point did the word ‘spam’ stop being an insult to those with large foreheads used in school playgrounds throughout the UK (usually accompanied by a slap upside-your-head), or a faux-meat product sold in strange square tins, and start being about unwanted email?

Points will be awarded for any funnies, and the winner will be announced by Noel Edmonds on the multi-coloured swap shop. If you didn’t understand that last bit, it’s not some strange TV programme where orphaned kids of different skin tones are swapped, but a show beloved of children growing up in the early 80’s living in the UK. I could have used a globally inclusive reference such as the Muppets or Sesame street, but it wouldn’t have had the same comic impact. Other alternatives were: Tizwaz, Why don’t you, and for the Canadians out there De Grassi Junior High.
